Lewis Puller enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1918 at the age of twenty. That day he and the Corps formed a bond that would forever link them together in history. "Chesty" received his nickname for his barrel chest, but he became a legend in his own time while serving valiantly in Haiti, Nicaragua, the Pacific during WW2, and Korea. His record of earning five Navy Crosses for valor has never been matched, nor has his place in Marine Corps history as one of the finest combat officers ever. Supreme Court Rules Against Marine's Father

I kind of thought they might rule against the father of fallen Marine Matthew Snyder, it sucks that it happened this way. The courts don't always rule the way we wish they would.

Matthew Snyder and his family don't deserve this and no family should have to suffer at the hands of crazy nut-job protesters at a funeral.

 What a dick!

All we can do is honor Matthew Snyder and know that he and his brothers in arms died, so that free speech is truly free.

(CBS) The Supreme Court ruled Wednesday that a grieving father's pain over jeering protests at his Marine son's funeral must yield to U.S. Constitutional protections for free speech, ending a lawsuit against the church. It was five years ago tomorrow that Marine Lance Corporal Matthew Snyder was killed in a Humvee accident in Iraq. He was 20 years old.
